Ohana / Caregiver Info on Dealing with Stress from Coronavirus COVID-19

Mar 24, 2020 | Announcements, Children in Foster Care, Foster Families, Youth in Foster Care

As we work from home and have children in our care who are not in school, it is easy to become overwhelmed with the stress of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Tia L. Roberts  MSW, MSCJA, an Adjunct Lecturer at the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work, University of Hawai’i at Manoa, has developed a very useful fact sheet to help you and the children in your care deal with stress and trauma. She developed this tool with information from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN), as well as information from her trainings on self-care and responding to stress in a trauma-informed way. It is her hope that this helps you and your ‘ohana during this trying time.
