It Takes An ‘Ohana
It Takes An ‘Ohana is committed to providing resources information to those in the community concerned with protecting the interests of children and youth in out-of-home care, while providing responsible advocacy. It is centered on providing better outcomes for children and youth in out-of-home care by enhancing collaboration between all parties in the child welfare community.
Eligibility:
Social workers, parents, caregivers, current and former foster youth, service providers and professionals in the child welfare system

• Educating and training resource families
• Informing stakeholders of available services and resources
• Advocacy for children in out-of-home care
• Working with stakeholders to help resolve complex issues that arise in Hawai‘i’s child welfare community
• Recruiting and retaining resource caregivers
